European Commission: CBAM default values (Implementing Regulation (EU) 2025/2621 as corrected by (EU) 2026/1740)
Default embedded emissions per CN code for Türkiye and other countries. The binding values are in the regulations; the Commission Excel used here is informative.

OpenStreetMap road network, via OSRM routing (driving distances between the preset places)
Road distance for road legs between the places in the list, so they use a real driving distance instead of the straight line. Built once as a data table; custom points use the straight line times the median road-to-straight-line ratio from the same table.

searoute-py maritime lane network (shortest sea distances between the preset ports)
Sea distance for sea legs between any two ports or coastal points, computed on the server over its maritime lane network so legs follow the shipping lanes (for example via Gibraltar or Suez) instead of the straight line. It is an approximation of the shortest feasible sea distance, not a navigational figure; short hops under 300 km use the straight line.
searoute-py is Apache-2.0. The lane network is bundled and searched on our own server; nothing is called at run time. https://github.com/genthalili/searoute-py
Natural Earth (cities, ports, country outlines) and OurAirports (airports)

Regulation (EU) 2025/40 on packaging and packaging waste (PPWR)

Not used: the Commission's grid-electricity defaults for CBAM (Annex II of 2025/2621) come from IEA data licensed for non-commercial use only, so they are not built in. ISO 14083 and ISO 14067 are paywalled standards that we have not read; the freight method follows the GLEC Framework v3.0 where checked.
